Chase Tower sold

Austin Business Journal - 3:05 PM CDT Wednesday

A partnership comprised of an Austin real estate group and a California company has bought the Chase Tower downtown for an undisclosed sum.

Santa Ana, Calif.-based Triple Net Properties LLC purchased the property on behalf of investors along with Austin firm Endeavor Real Estate Group LLC. The sale closed June 20.

The partnership bought the 21-story tower from Austin PT BK One Tower Office LP, represented by Andrea Peskind and Brad Thornburg of Cushman & Wakefield.

Built in 1974, the Chase Tower -- at 221 W. Sixth St. -- comprises about 391,500 square feet. It was renovated in 1994. Its occupancy stands at 72 percent, with 24 tenants, including the Headliners Club and JP Morgan Chase Bank.

Wally Reid in the Houston office of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP arranged the financing, provided by Colorado-based MMA Realty Capital LLC.
