Cedar Park to get medical plaza

Land is under contract; construction is set to start during

the second quarter.

A new medical plaza is in the works for Cedar Park.

Lauth Property Group, a construction firm, has signed a contract to buy the land for a 65,000-square foot medical office building, Oakmont Medical Plaza. Terms were not disclosed.

Construction is scheduled to begin during the second quarter of 2007, across from Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, east of the 183-A and RM 1431 interchange.

The plaza will offer medical office space and ancillary services, including full ambulatory care, medical wellness center, diagnostic imaging services and outpatient surgery, Lauth said.

In addition to Oakmont Medical Plaza, Lauth is developing Coppell Medical Pavilion in Coppell and considering health care projects in Houston and College Station. The firm is also expected to break ground on a 463,000-square-foot retail project in Bryan next spring.

Indianapolis-based Lauth opened its Dallas office in 2005 and has a presence in 36 states.
